I have owned a C4 Grand Picasso from new (2016 1700 diesel model, semi-automatic). It has a full service history and there are no outstanding recalls. My problem is that it recently had a MOT and service. As part of the MOT it required new rear brake pads. These were fitted and thereafter the electronic parking brake will not work. Paikkakunta: Oulu. En löytänyt samaa vikaa vastaavilla vikakoodeilla, joten aloitin uuden aiheen. Autona Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 1,6 HDI vm. 2008. Satunnaisesti alkoi herjaamaan näitä: "ESP/ASR faulty" ja "handbrake faulty". Alkuun tuli harvoin ja poistui kun käytti virrat pois ja starttasi uudelleen. I also get ESP/ASR Fault, Parking brake fault coming up Next time I enter the vehicle (after stoping and removing key etc) I get parking brake fault upon opening the door (it disables auto parking brake - but parking brake still works OK on the button press) I get ESP/ASR fault when start the car (it disables the ESP - orange light on the button) Car drives without any issues (apart from the automatic handbrake is not working). Handbrake works manually perfectly well. Start the car and get the following three warnings on the console screen: "Handbrake Faulty"" ESP/ASR System Faulty", and " Depollution System Faulty" I then have the following codes come up: Poly V-Belt Kit. Xenon Light. C3. BERLINGO. AUDI. HONDA. FIAT. Illustrated step-by-step manuals and video tutorials on replacing CITROËN C4 ABS Sensor will tell you how to carry out DIY replacement of parts and maintenance of your car quickly and cheaply. 1) Handbrake faulty. 2) ESP/ASR fault (which I presume is linked to the handbrake issue) Both of these correct themselves if I turn off the ignition and start the car again but return, sometimes very quickly sometimes I can drive for quite a while before they return. 3) RF unit for the remote locking seems to be dead. Hi, can anyone help, i have just had my rear brake pads and discs renewed and now all of a sudden i am getting these messages come up. Is it dangerous to drive, i have booked it in but Citroen wnat £100 just to put it on the diagnostic machine. Ignition on: The electrically controlled parking brake releases if the button is not held. Ignition off: The electrically controlled parking brake releases if you hold the button for less than 3 seconds. The specific warning lamps shown in the diagram above are lit like this when this fault is active: "a": lit. The brake pedal switch or gear stick selector switch is bad; There is a miscommunication between the EPB module and either of the switches; The EPB module or actuator has an electrical fault; The electronic parking brake motor has jammed or failed; You have corroded parking brake cables. This is a common brake system problem in Honda civic. In April 2011, a recall was issued for Citroen C4 Picasso vehicles due to a defect with one of the electric parking brake cables which could lead to insufficient application (i.e. only one wheel locked), accompanied by the lighting of the parking brake warning lamp on the instrument panel and the 'parking brake fault' message appearing on the multifunction screen.
